The last week and the next three weeks are going to be quite busy. I’m working on designing a display for NIBCO (PVC Pipes…you know the white ones), got some ceiling fans to put up monday, have to actually do the NIBCO display, and at the end of the month there will be a 2-3 day Moen total reset. At least it means some serious cash flow this month…and actually meaningful activity, which is appreciated given how much of this term I’ve done jack shit/slept/been lazy/sick.
If you don’t know, I represent random products (ie ceiling fans, faucets(Moen), PVC Piping(Nibco) at the two Jerry’s stores here in Eugene. Kinda random I guess, hah.

So I can be a bit of an airhead sometimes. Not convinced? Well I don’t drive my car much, seeing as its a 10 minute walk from where I live. So the last time I drove it, I left the sunroof open. Whoops? hah. Not to mention the car was totally dead. I finally got it going until I killed it again, this time in the Value Village parking lot. Tried to jump it twice but I gave up a hitched a ride from the girl who tried to jump me. My dad came down today for work and it’s all running again, still a bit damp inside through, haha.
On the bright side, I got a $412 refund check from my study abroad program last term, nice~ The first deposit into my checking account in…too long. And I am currently *knock on wood* working on a going record of 3 days in a row of being not sick. A record for this term thus far…
Oh, and I am so, so, so very tired of this shitty weather. I’m moving

I really really want to speak Spanish fluently, but at the same time I despise Spanish classes. I can’t stand the tediousness of it all, but I guess it’s the way to learn it. Everything about language classes is the opposite of the way I like to learn. Small and repetitive things that have no purpose like exercises bore the life out of me, but unfortunately I need to do them to get better.
Grrr.
I want to learn Spanish so I can move onto something else too, like Russian or German (I haven’t decided). I don’t really know if learning two languages at once is a bad thing.
As you can imagine this was sparked by getting a test grade back, grr, lol.

On the advice of a friend I went in to get tested for mono today. In some strange way I was hoping it would come back positive. At least it would give an explanation for being so sick so often this term. Results are that I don’t have mono…I’m just incredibly unlucky and have gotten back to back viral infections for a month and a half now.
Just for fun I was hoping for something exotic, like a crazy Russia virus…heh. Ok, that would be lame in the long run, but a cool story at least

It’s really cliche, but whenever I see a movie like the Patriot, which I saw last night, I get pretty fired up. What it is about guys and war? After seeing that I’m like, man I want to go fight for some noble cause! Haha.
Except the whole dying part. That ruins it. Ok, this sounds sorta twisted, but there is nothing more exhilarating about life than war. Think about it, gambling is always popular because it involves risk. The battlefield is the ultimate risk. The irony is that the time when you feel most alive, is when you are most likely to die….
And the fact that the causes are a bit less noble these days.

Saturday was our Carnation Ball. Pretty cool event, we rent out a boat in Portland a sail the river for a couple of hours, have some dinner there, and a hire a Jazz band. I definatly want a boat because Portland at night is pretty awesome actually (just don’t look down…cause the Willamette sure isn’t). Speaking of the Willamette, I saw some sort of animal swimming in the river. Beaver, nutria? Just random. I wasn’t aware wildlife could survive in a river that dirty.
Here’s a shot of me and my date Kaycie. I was a sucker and bought the pictures they took there, turned out better I think, but I sure am not going to scan it in, heh

It was a fun time all and all!
