Some jackass broke into my car and stole my PCC parking pass(OK, i probably just left it unlocked, seeing no windows were broken and its unlikely a professional was interested )

So naturally I got a parking ticket because I didn’t notice(or they did it today). Only 2 weeks left in the term, bastards!

After being nearly decieved by a work at home scheme (actually posted in all PCC classrooms!, after some research you apparently pay 35 bucks to register…and yea..its a scam).

So, barring my decision to start smoking(which would be a very economical choice…given $270 for 21 hours of ‘work.’) I could just say I smoke…

Or, this guy on craigslist is paying someone to regularly wash his BMW convertible. hah. Too bad its in wilsonville or I’d SO do that.

Beyond those I’m actually thinking of doing a data entry job for some public relations firm, just need 5-10 hrs a week, perfect. That or late night wall-street journal delivery.

or get this one I just saw “I am a single female, 41 and would like a male accountant preferably also single” compensation: $75 a year. Haha.

Or I could, heaven forbid, enjoy summer.

Well after a lot of research I think Xela, Guatemala will be my travel destination of choice this winter. Now to find a school…or maybe just wing it? I’m going to be really anxious about this for the next 6 months…

One of the cooks at work got fired the other day, I really liked the guy, a tad slow, but it never slowed down service. A shame either way. It got me thinking about…expectations. I, as a 20 year old college student was making more money than he, a 40ish and likely father. He’s still employed apparently…at Burgerville. Still, it really got me thinking about expectations.

Would I even be able to come to work at 40 making under 10 dollars an hour? I have such high expectations of myself even at this age I hardly accept such a job. At the same time millions work hard and still live below the poverty line. I’m not lazy, nor spoiled, I work hard. Nevertheless its hard not to feel guilty in having opportunities that others may never have had.

My initial approach to this was going to be to title this post “Entitlement” but then I thought a bit of it and decided on a more optimistic approach. So instead I chose ‘why I go to school.’ I sure as hell am not going to live like that, and I’m going to be grateful of the opportunities I’ve had but at the same time remember that others have opportunities too, but don’t seize them.

two new episodes of The Tudors on tv-links! its going to be a good night! Just finished one…it was about the sweating sickness. How scary would that be living in a time where people are dying in swarms and you don’t really know how to protect yourself due to voodoo medical practices of the time (bleeding..ect). But anyways…the series is getting close to England’s break with the Catholic church (maybe he should have granted that annulment, eh?), exciting!

Alright, I realize I’ve been saying alot about Fox news recently…but its I never watch it and now I have to because of homework.

The day I’ve been waiting for…one of my co-workers just left on vacation. Needless to say I despise the girl. Sure she’s probably fine outside of work…but at work she’s downright evil

A bit over a week of freedom from her, and it is much much needed. Perhaps by then I’ll learn to not let her get to me.

But anyways..my current homework project is one of the most annoying. It requires me to watch hours of Fox News. Comparing how different news sources across the globe cover major stories. Seems so far that Fox News just doesn’t…plenty of Paris Hilton coverage. Wait, this is news right, not E! ? Lots of coverage on that missing girl too. Not that I don’t want her found, but its still kind of sick how much attention a little blond girl gets, wonder if she was black? Sure wouldn’t be on Fox News….
