Little more difficult than I had anticipated, transferring to U of P and all. Had a high degree of optimism, but I underestimated certain things…. Smaller school yes, but everyone knows each other from 2 years of dorm life
Great ratio of girls here, haha, 65% or something? Shame I’ve managed to get very few in my classes. Unlucky~
Not to mention that half my classes are full of freshman(damn bullshit core classes).
Time, optimism, and patience… I think perhaps hitting the bars around the area would work. Lot easier to make conversation there than in a lecture class. The only problem is none of my friends are 21! Soloing bars…little lame.

A point in my western political theory class got me thinking. The question was, is a liberal democracy the best way to go? Is freedom really the ideal?
Liberal democracies and freedom have comprised for a mere portion of the population a mere 2-300 years, in the scheme of the world and 60,000+ years of human existence. So, were those who went before us so much better off? Are we better off with all of these choices? Is being born knowing you’ll be a blacksmith so bad when everyone else does the same?
Its hard to argue that that much of human existence was unhappy or frustrated with their state of being.

…at work. Whenever a customer walks in the door I have to give them a look of recognition just to cover all my bases. I’m so bad at face recognition, let alone names! I’ve had regulars come in forever and I still don’t know their names. I know what they order…but not names, hah. Gets me into trouble when I tell stories to make conversation. “Yea, you told us that last time.” Though maybe I ought to give up on the stories, hah, so hard to make conversation when you know so little about them. Weather. sure. Current events? No(not exactly the intellectual crowd usually..heh)
Granted there are alot of people that come in, especially on weekends, I can hardly keep up. Still, generally worse than the average person in this department.

Amazing how you can go from a shitty mood to OK all in a day. Must suck to be a girl, haha
I was in such a shitty mood last night and going into today, but strangely enough cheered up when I got to work (go figure). Probably because lacrosse is over :/ and I need to replace it with some other form of exercise~ Exercise is a highly underrated aspect of mood, shame U of P has no lacrosse team.

The Imus thing is not yet dead. Why should it be, when there is money to be had? The silly basketball player who was called the quite offensive term ‘nappy headed ho’ is managing to change her reputation from a poor victim of name calling…to someone deserving name calling. Perhaps: Silly bitch?
She’s HONESTLY suing because ‘ho’ means prostitute, therefore Imus lied(slander) in calling her that. Dear lord woman, you know very well that people call people ho’s all the time without implying prostitution. Can’t wait for this one to be thrown out.
Sure Imus was a jackass, but he got fired. Get over it.
Damn litigious society we have.

A tad annoyed that after 5 months working Saturday mornings, the second a girl gets back from vacation, she gets it without anyone asking me. Understandably shes hot, and that trumps all. Not a big deal either. Still, makes me thing about how much stuff hot girls get. Yea sure it sucks bearing children and the whole period thing, but all the benefits easily outweigh it. Any hot girl could pick up money anytime for just being pretty, not just modeling and such, but events.
Then again if your an unattractive girl, I guess thats all the negatives without any of the positives…ouch. Life is harsh ;P
I have to write an ethical dilemma paper tonight (25% of my grade) maybe I should do something on Hooters or something, haha.
