Witty, funny, true. Love it.

Review to come….

Molière’s Le Misanthrope
Easy to read Restoration era play. The wit of the writing is incredible! The fact that its written in coupling rhymes is both impressive and fun. I ended up typing in that rhythm for a bit until I realized it! I really recommend the read. I really want to see it acted out, so I’m keeping my eye out for that.

Molière’s Tartuffe
Molière does it again, his tendency to have thick-headed characters and repeating obvious points are frustrating, but excellent. You really get into the play. All the characters are developed well. Another play I’d recommend.
Halmet
Hard to say much about such a classic. Let’s just say I didn’t put this up to look cultured. . . hah. The more I read Shakespeare the more I catch his broader themes. I really love Hamlet’s wit. I feel like the last time I read this, I got Hamlet’s character so much deeper than I ever had before. Masterpiece.
