I’ve never much been into television, and have very rarely followed shows specifically. However there are some notable exceptions, interestingly enough most of these have not faced very good reviews and have been cut short. Sad

Not in any particular order, either.

Heroes

I watched the first 13 episodes in about 36 hours, wow! Addicting. I was initial skeptical on the whole x-men style knock off but the characters grew on me. The cheerleader is way hot too.

Battlestar Galactica

I like this show for a number of reasons. Strong plot, well casted with good effects and scenery. Despite how nerdy it sounds its very light sci-fi, no green men or anything.

The Tudors

Really good show, well done. I definitely romanticize the Middle Ages, so I especially love it because if I can’t be king in real life…at least I can live though The Tudors Glad that Showtime is willing to put the money into it…so I can enjoy it when I steal it online, hah.

Daily Show

Cliche, I know, but I’ve been a fan for awhile. I used to watch it regularly but have fallen out of it. Good entertainment. Better news than CNN sometimes.

Firefly

Great show! So much potential. It was already right up my alley, being a hard sci-fi style. I quickly fell in love with the characters. (and I have a little crush on Kaylee). I think the character development is strong and non-transparent. I’m usually suprised by the developments in the show. The movie Serenity was an excellent closing to the first(and only? …) season.
Support this show so I may one day see more of it!

Law and Order

I’m a fan of the original myself, I’ll watch the others, but not with the same enthusiam. I’m a big fan of Jack McCoy, he’s my kind of guy. Good clean drama mystery, with some moral and ethical dilemas tossed to thicken the plot. I just don’t like the main guy in Criminal Intent, he bugs me.

The History Channel*

The astericks is there because the amount of decent programming mostly vanished about three years ago. They switched gears from mostly quality documentary to populist appeal. The amount of ‘history’ has dwindled, it’s mostly modern now and full of stuff about Nostrodomus and UFO’s and 9/11.

Rome

Well done historical drama. I enjoy the series even though knowning the results is somewhat of a downer. Looking forward to season two! ..and praying costs don’t cut the series short.

Scrubs

Always funny! Original. I have not been able to see enough of this show due to its erratic airing schedule. Fortunately now it is on all of the time! Not to mention my crush on Elliot

Stargate

Again, right up my alley from the start. Hard Sci-Fi (mmm. mostly). Has some philosophical moments. And come on…MacGyver was the main characater! The plot got dry as the seasons progressed. The new characters never filled the void for me. Weak characters like Daniel Jackson just weren’t able to play much more than a supporting role(his ‘humor’ and character got old)

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Intelligent? No. But funny! Dry humor somewhat in Seinfeld style. Almost always hilarious, yet somewhat predictable.

Flip That House!

When I was a little kid I loved watching construction for hours. If they were building a house I’d watch, I don’t even remember too many specifics, it jut fascinated me. Clearly this show is a little later-in-life manifestation of the same fascination.
