Austria
Vienna is a city which was unfortunately 80% destroyed during WWII, but there is still a lot of stuff standing. By the time I got here I was hitting about the middle of my 3 week traveling, not to mention it was pouring and I had just come from sunny Venice. Needless to say I was a bit down during my stay here.
Gorgeous Gothic cathedral here. The only downside was that it was heavily under construction (I seem to have terrible luck with this).
Here is a sort of blurry(sorry!) shot of the ornate stained glass.
Just outside the cathedral they were trying to have a film festival, didn’t really work given the downpour. I chilled out here for a bit and had some excellent beer (the Dunkel) and stole the mug
This is sort of embarassing…but I have no idea what this is. It looked nice though! Statues of famous philosophers all around it.
Three famous Austrian men: Mozart, Hitler, and Freud. Freud is an interesting fellow so I decided to take the opportunity to see where Freud came up with that stuff.
Freud’s waiting room, his actual treatment room did not survive. So this is pretty much the last real room of Freud’s office, the rest of the museum SUCKS unless you’re a serious Freud buff.
I met these two girls from California, Tatiana (left) and Marisa (right), and a bunch of other random people I quickly lost track of. I’m drinking a bit of absinthe at an overpriced Viennese club.

I just like this picture because I’ve never seen a picture of me smile like that. I look sort of giddy? hah!
